It is very unlikely that I will share your data. I will not sell it on or use it for unethical reasons. I may have to share it if my notes are subpoenaed by court, if you or anyone you tell me about is at harm or risk of harm I may have to pass this information on. I also have regular Supervision where I talk about my work but I only use your first name.
It is mainly stored as hard copy in a locked filing cabinet. Immediately after the work is finished, I transfer the data with your initials to my password protected computer. Your phone number(s) may be kept in my business mobile phone with your first name and last initial. Only I will access your information.
I will only keep your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary taking into consideration my need to answer queries or resolve problems, any other purpose outlined above or to comply with legal requirements under applicable law(s). In certain cases, I may retain your personal information for a longer period where extended retention periods are required by law or regulation and to establish, exercise or defend my legal rights. I will ensure that it is disposed in a secure manner when it’s no longer needed.
This site uses the SSL/HTTPS protocol throughout site. This encrypts user communications with the servers so that personal identifiable information is not captured/hijacked by third parties without authorization.
In case of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all needed steps to ensure system integrity, will contact affected users and will attempt to reset passwords if needed.
