The reason we procrastinate is not because we are lazy or weak but there is actually malfunctioning happening at certain parts of our brain. The job of our brain is to keep us safe which is constantly looking for danger and giving us the energy to fight or flight just like animals do.
For example, during childhood, if you were laughed at when you stood up to speak, your feeling brain shows this as danger. So as an adult if you do tasks to be visible for work, your mind constantly responds "Danger, danger danger"!
That is why our thinking brain tells us to do some tasks and the feeling brain comes up with excuses and distractions.
Overcome procrastination and develop new coping strategies and habits.
